The basic definition (citing: “ITIL is all about which processes need to be realized within the organization for management and operation of IT infrastructure to promote optimal service provision to the customer of the services at justifiable costs”.) is still on power. Version 3 adopts a life cycle view of services, an improvement over the previous version emphasis on point solutions.
This course is for IT Managers and Practitioners involved in the strategy, design and implementation and on going delivery of business-used IT services and who require an insight into Service Management best practice.
The course is assignment based, with practical coursework. It is based upon the OGC’s ITIL books:

There is particular importance placed on developing an underlying service culture within the IT organization. Topics covered include: Introduction to Service Management, the Service Lifecycle, Key Principles and models of ITSM, the Processes and Functions
